Amol Arun Adkonkar

Profile & History

Dr. Amol Adkonkar is a Senior Lecturer in the Healthcare Management area at Goa Institute of Management, with a Ph.D. and MBA in Pharmaceutical Management from NIPER S.A.S. Nagar. His expertise spans pharmaceutical supply chain management, strategy, market access, business development, competitive intelligence, and healthcare operations. His research focuses on SCM practices, SCM agility, competitive advantage, organizational performance, pharmaceutical supply-chain performance, and healthcare/pharmaceutical operations. His doctoral work studied supply chain management practices and performance of Indian pharmaceutical firms using primary data from 227 pharmaceutical-industry respondents and tools such as SPSS, Neural Networks, and SmartPLS. He currently teaches Operations Management, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, KYHP, Strategic Pharmaceutical Management, and Business Development, while developing applied healthcare and pharmaceutical-sector learning material.
