1. Understanding Achiever’s Round:
Achiever’s Round is a unique opportunity where candidates with significant accomplishments can showcase their profiles. Dr. Rajpal emphasized that this round is applicable only to the candidate’s first-preferred program while applying. Achievements could range from academic excellence, sports accolades, professional recognition, or even entrepreneurial ventures.
Dr. Rajpal highlighted that, “Achievements could also be program specific. However, if you do not qualify that if you do not qualify in program specific achievements, you can put your application through other achievements in your application.”

2. Evaluation Criteria:
Dr. Rajpal outlined the importance of competitive achievements. “When assessing profiles, we look for accomplishments that involved competition with others, such as winning a national-level contest or publishing research in recognized journals,” he explained. GIM values achievements that demonstrate effort and impact.
Dr. Rajpal also said, “Achiever’s Round is applicable only to your first preferred program. If candidates are applying to multiple programs at GIM, please note that your application will be screened for Achiever’s Round solely for your first preference. However, rest assured that during the regular round, your application will be considered for all the programs you have applied for.”

3. The Dual Benefit of the Achievers Round:
A standout feature of this round is that shortlisted candidates not only have a chance for immediate interviews but also qualify for spot offers. Additionally, these candidates are automatically eligible for scholarships worth up to ₹5 lakhs, a significant incentive for high-achievers.

4. Interview Process:
Candidates shortlisted in Achiever’s Round are evaluated through a rigorous two-stage process, which also includes a Written Ability Test (WAT). For BDA and IDA, GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT) is also mandatory. “Your interview scores from Achievers Round are carried forward to the Regular Round if required,” Dr. Rajpal noted, ensuring that no effort goes unnoticed.

5. Importance of Documentation:
To strengthen applications, Dr. Rajpal recommended providing verifiable proof of achievements. “Achievements should be backed with documents or certificates to ensure their credibility,” he stressed.

6. Flexibility in Application Process:
Applicants are encouraged to aim high. Dr. Rajpal shared, “Even if you do not qualify for Achiever’s Round, your application is automatically considered for Regular Round.” This dual consideration boosts chances of securing a spot at GIM.
