GIM’s PGDM–BIFS Program Receives University Affiliation Program from CFA Institute

Goa Institute of Management has announced that its Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Banking, Insurance and Financial Services (PGDM–BIFS) programme has been granted the University Program Affiliation by CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals.
The CFA Institute University Program Affiliation (UAP) is awarded to academic programmes that embed a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into their curriculum and demonstrate a strong commitment to ethics, academic rigour, and professional relevance. This recognition reflects the robustness of GIM’s PGDM–BIFS curriculum and its close alignment with global industry standards in finance and investment management.
As part of this affiliation, Goa Institute of Management has received three CFA Program scholarships, enhancing access to one of the world’s most respected professional credentials in finance. The CFA Program is widely regarded as the gold standard for professionals aspiring to build careers in investment management, banking, equity research, portfolio management, and financial services. Commenting on the development, Dr. Ajit Parulekar, Director of GIM, noted that the CFA affiliation adds to the long-term value proposition of the PGDM–BIFS programme, offering students global benchmarking, enhanced credibility in international markets, and deeper exposure to finance-led career pathways.
