GIM wins International Green Gown Awards 

Sanquelim (Goa): Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has won the International Green Gown Awards 2022 under the "Highly Commended - Sustainability Institute of the year" category. The award ceremony was held on 6th July 2022. The Centre for Excellence in Sustainable Development, Goa Institute of Management has been the driver towards realizing this accomplishment. GIM is the only Indian academic institution to receive this prestigious award.

The event was sponsored by Allianz Global Investors. A total of 56 teams from 19 countries reached the finals. The Judging Panel noted the comprehensive programme of activity across most of the sustainability areas of an academic institute. The Panel also liked the examples of student engagement, especially the Sustainability Hackathon, and the outreach activities of the Centre.

Prof. Ajit Parulekar, Director of GIM, has mentioned, “GIM has always been conscious about its impact on the ecosystem and has continuously strived to reduce its carbon footprint. With the intellectual capabilities we are endowed with, we strive to ensure that "Grass is always Greener on our Side". This Green Gown Award is a reassurance of our collective efforts towards sustainability.”
