Events We Organize
TEDxGIM
TEDxGIM is an independently organized event by the Goa Institute of Management.
“The Tapestry of Thoughts" is an exploration into the rich and diverse landscape of human ideas and experiences. Here, we celebrate the fine weave of creativity, innovation, and wisdom that has been filtered from diverse cultures and disciplines. A tapestry is an intricate, rich, and vivid mosaic artwork put together from thousands of threads. Each thread presents a single thought, memory, or perception. The way the threads are woven together creates the overall pattern—a unique and ever-evolving story of who we are. This theme emphasises the interplay and evolution of ideas, encouraging us to appreciate the larger picture created by our collective knowledge and experience. In its core, it is about the interplay of different strands of thought—science, the arts, technology, and philosophy—interwoven to bring about new patterns of understanding. We see threads of joy and sorrow, triumph and struggle. The rich blend of different voices reminds us that, though unique, our experiences are part of a greater human tapestry. A masterpiece emerges from their weaving, greater than the sum of its parts.

The TEDxGIM initiative intends to broadcast and organize TED Talks at the Goa Institute of Management every year. At GIM, the event cherishes the TED mission - 'Ideas worth Spreading.' As TEDxGIM believes ideas come from everywhere, we invite speakers from various fields to use the TEDxGIM platform to share their ideas.
