Prof. Abhishek Naresh is an Assistant Professor in the General Management and Public Policy Area at Goa Institute of Management; he has cultivated expertise in the intersection of Macroeconomics, climate change, and labor markets, with a primary focus on emerging economies.

Holding a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, Prof. Abhishek's academic journey commenced with a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Jamshedpur. During this period, he contributed to missile system projects at DRDO Hyderabad.

After a stint at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he delved into after-sales marketing, Prof. Abhishek shifted his attention to the social sector, dedicating his skills to Teach for India. This endeavor entailed improving learning outcomes in low-income schools across Delhi.

Prof. Abhishek's academic pursuits led to collaborations with esteemed institutions. His doctoral thesis, which delved into segmented labor markets and their influence on Indian monetary policy, established him as a prominent figure in this field.

Prof. Abhishek's passion for education materializes in his role as an educator. He imparts knowledge through courses encompassing Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Regression Analysis, and Time Series Econometrics.

During his tenure at BIT Mesra, Prof. Abhishek played diverse roles as an Assistant Professor in the Centre of Quantitative Economics and Data Science. Involved in multifarious research projects, he also held administrative responsibilities. His contribution extended to serving as a Steering Committee member for the Digital Innovation Lab, a collaboration with Adrosonic Pvt. Limited. Additionally, Abhishek's coordination roles included New Education Policy Implementation, NAAC Accreditation Committee, and Tender-Purchase Committee.

Prof. Abhishek Naresh's journey intricately weaves economics, academia, and social impact. His dedication to advancing knowledge, shaping policy, and creating a meaningful impact is evident in his impactful research, dynamic teaching approach, and proactive involvement in diverse projects and initiatives.
