Alok Tiwari

Profile and History

Dr. Alok Tiwari is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Big Data Analytics at the Goa Institute of Management. 

Prior to the current role, he held the position of Assistant Professor at uGDX School of Technology, situated within the one of its kind skillTech university, ATLAS SkillTech University. This university is housed in Tower 1 – Equinox Business Park, Off Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) LBS Marg, Kurla West, Mumbai – 400070.

Before his tenure at ATLAS SkillTech University, he contributed his expertise as an Assistant Professor in the Data Engineering Department at uGDX Institute of Technology (formerly known as INSOFE), based in Hyderabad, Telangana-500032.

In addition to his academic roles, he has also enriched his professional portfolio as a Guest Faculty, imparting knowledge in Big Data and Computer Vision, at NMIMS Global Access - School for Continuing Education (NGASCE), located at Vile Parle West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400056.

Furthermore, he has honed his instructional skills as a DevOps Bootcamp Instructor, specializing in End-to-End Deployment, at NMIMS Global Access - School for Continuing Education (NGASCE), also situated in Vile Parle West, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400056.

He possesses expertise spanning across Data Science, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Machine Learning & Deep Learning, bringing a comprehensive skill set to the table. Proficient in a variety of coding libraries including C, Matlab, Python, R, SQL, HQL, and LaTeX, he excels in developing robust solutions for complex problems. His adeptness extends to working with diverse databases such as MySQL, RDBMS, HBase, and MongoDB, encompassing both structured and unstructured data environments. 

Additionally, his proficiency extends to essential tools and technologies including Git, GitHub, SDLC, Jenkins, and CI-CD Pipelines, facilitating streamlined development processes. With hands-on experience in GPU Workstations and Param Shivay supercomputers, coupled with expertise in desktop hardware assembly, he is equipped to tackle projects of any scale. 

Furthermore, his familiarity with software applications like ImageJ, fsleyes, Matlab, R-studio, Tableau, MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint enhances his ability to deliver impactful results. Fluent in both English and Hindi, he effectively communicates and collaborates across diverse teams and stakeholders.
