Enu Anand

History & Profile

Dr. Enu Anand holds a Ph.D. in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai. Her doctoral work examined shifting marriage patterns in India’s low sex ratio states, focusing on marriage migration, celibacy, and gender imbalances. With an MPhil and MPS from IIPS, she brings domain expertise in Public Health, Mortality, and Operations Research. Dr. Anand’s professional journey spans academia and the development sector, with stints at IIT Bombay, Swades Foundation, and IIPS-UNICEF. She has led large-scale evaluations in gender, health, nutrition, WASH, and education, employing innovative research methods. At GIM, she contributes to policy-relevant research, program design, and academia-industry collaboration. A published scholar, her focus remains on gender equity and community-centric development. Beyond academics, she is deeply interested in cultural heritage, particularly temple architecture and spiritual tourism, through which she explores India’s socio-religious fabric. Dr. Anand is committed to creating socially impactful, inclusive, and evidence-based solutions.
