Shiv Nath Sinha

Profile & History

Dr. Shiv Nath Sinha is an Associate Professor in the area of Strategy& Consulting. He is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and an Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI), UK and Ireland. He has completed his Master in Business Laws (MBL) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. He was awarded a Ph.D. in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and has earned his Graduate Diploma in CSR and Sustainability from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

His research focuses on the areas of Corporate Law, Environmental Law, Corporate Governance, CSR, Sustainability & Climate Change.

Prior to GIM, he worked as an Associate Professor at IMT Nagpur from March 2010 to January 2020. Since 2010, he has taught Business and Corporate Laws, International Trade Laws, Corporate Governance, and CSR at IMT Nagpur, IMT Dubai, IIM Indore, and IIM Sambalpur. He has also delivered lectures at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He has conducted executive training workshops focused on CSR and Sustainability for Indian companies like Asian Paints Ltd., MOIL Ltd. and Bajaj Steel Ltd.

He is a member of the Board of Advisor at Aroha Multipurpose Society, an NGO working for women’s empowerment. He also Teaches: IIM Indore, IIM Sambalpur & IMT Dubai
