Dr. Shiv Nath Sinha is an Associate Professor at GIM. He is a qualified Company Secretary from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and a Member of the Chartered Governance Institute (CGI), UK and Ireland. He holds a Master in Business Laws (MBL) from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore and completed his Ph.D. in Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability Impact. He has also earned a Graduate Diploma in CSR and Sustainability from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Climate Policy from the University of Leeds.

His research focuses on Corporate Law, Environmental Law, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability & Climate Change.

Before GIM, he worked as an Associate Professor at IMT Nagpur from March 2010 to January 2020. Since 2010, he has taught Business and Corporate Laws, Environmental Laws, Corporate Governance, CSR, and Sustainability at IMT Nagpur, IMT Dubai, IIM Indore, IIM Sambalpur, and the University of London (UK). He has also delivered lectures at the National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT) and the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). He has conducted executive training workshops focused on CSR and Sustainability Policy for Indian companies like Asian Paints Ltd., MOIL Ltd., Bajaj Steel Ltd. and MetLife

He is a member of the Board of Advisor at Aroha Multipurpose Society, an NGO working for women’s empowerment.
