Shubhendu Singh

History & Profile

He holds a PhD in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Prior to this, he completed his Masters in Manufacturing Technology from the National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, where he was awarded the director's gold medal. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surat.
His research focuses on technology and innovation management, particularly the intersection of technology and supply chain dynamics. He has a deep interest in supply chain digitization, resilience, and sustainability, exploring the transformative impact of emerging digital technologies such as additive manufacturing and digital twin technology. His work has been featured in several esteemed peer-reviewed international journals, including the Journal of Environmental Management, Business Strategy and the Environment, Computers and Industrial Engineering, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, Business Process Management Journal, Operations Management Journal, and the Environment Development and Sustainability Journal. He has also received Best Paper Awards in international and national conferences, including the International Conference on Industrial and Manufacturing Systems (CIMS) and the National Conference on Climate Change and Renewable Energy Integration towards Net Zero. He also serves as a reviewer for various reputed international journals, including the Annals of Operations Research, Production Planning and Control, and the Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management.
In addition to his research, he is passionate about teaching and has a keen interest in courses related to Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, and Supply Chain Sustainability.
