Sachin Tyagi
Profile & History
Sachin Tyagi is a faculty member in the area of Healthcare Management at the Goa Institute of Management. Previously, he taught at the Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Ghaziabad. He has submitted his doctoral thesis at the Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), India. His thesis, titled “Beyond Stress and Burnout: Exploring the Well-being of Healthcare Professionals through a Positive Psychology Lens,” contributes to an evidence-based understanding of human flourishing at work.
Before joining academia, he led digital transformation and change-management projects in the healthcare sector, providing him with a strong bridge between theory and practice in healthcare technology and human behaviour.
His research has been published in reputed peer-reviewed journals such as the International Journal of Stress Management (ABDC-A, Scopus Q1, SSCI), along with case studies featured in academic journals. He has presented his work at prestigious international forums, including the European Academy of Management (EURAM) Conference at Trinity Business School, Dublin, Ireland, and ISDSI-Global at IIM Nagpur. He has received several academic honors, including the Best Research Paper Award at the FIIB Research Conference (2023), Best Case Study Award (2024), Runner-up at Research Expo (2020), and First Prize for Internship Research (2019) during his postgraduate studies.
He serves as a reviewer for international journals such as the International Journal of Stress Management (ABDC-A), Strategy & Leadership (ABDC-B), and the South Asian Journal of Business and Management Cases (ABDC-C). He is also an active member of the European Academy of Management (EURAM).
In academia, he has taught postgraduate courses on People Management, Technology in HR, Change Management, and Well-being at Work, and has contributed significantly to institutional research and accreditation initiatives.
His areas of expertise include healthcare management, well-being in high-stress contexts, AI and well-being, positive psychology, organizational change, HR technology, and qualitative research methods.
