Why does GIM conduct a separate Achiever’s Round?
- GIM wants to have a more rigorous and holistic selection process.
- This opportunity is offered to select few.
- The selected candidates MAY also be offered ACCESS scholarship.
What counts as an achievement for the Achiever's round?
Outstanding performance in academics, sports, co-curricular, or at the workplace can be highlighted as achievements for the Achiever's round. The above are indicative and not exhaustive. Examples of achievements are given below for reference:
- Star performer in last appraisal
- National Hockey player
- No. 2 in University Degree Course
- Topper of school in 12th
- 20th in State Board in 10th
- District Level Volleyball Player
- Held solo exhibition of Photographs

Program-Specific Achievements:Graduates from select institutes; MBBS, Biotechnology, BPharm., BDS from select institutes; CA,CS, CMA, CFA (US), ACCA, CIMA, CPA (US), FRM (GARP) holders and B. Com. Or B.A. Economics (Hons) from select institutes; and engineering graduates with at least 24 months of full-time work experience in specific companies are invited to the Achiever's Round based on their first preferred programme.

What is Achiever’s Round?
Achiever's Round: The Achiever's Round is a profile-based shortlisting process that evaluates candidates based on program-specific or other achievements in areas such as academics, sports, co-curricular activities, and professional experience. This round applies to all programs based on the candidate's first preference. Candidates are shortlisted for the Achiever's Round without considering CAT/XAT/GMAT scores initially, which will be factored in later. Select candidates may receive a spot admission offer, while others will be considered alongside regular applicants.

Achiever's interviews will be conducted in two cities: Delhi, Goa and Kolkata.
How many achievements are required?
At-least one programme specific achievement and/or other achievement needs to be mentioned in the form
Will GIM verify achievements?
Yes, all achievements should have documents to support and the documents should be available at the time of interview and joining the Institute.
Will exam score(s) be included in Achiever’s Round?
Achiever's round will be conducted without knowing XAT/CAT/GMAT scores. The scores will be incorporated in the process later on.
What if I get a low score but have been shortlisted via the Achiever’s Round?
CAT/XAT/GMAT scores are very much part of evaluation and a candidate with unacceptable score will not get admission, even though (s)he may have been called for Achiever's round.
In case I don't get an offer after Achiever's round interviews, do I have to appear in the regular round interviews again?
No. Your scores from the Achiever's round will be considered for shortlisting in the regular round interview evaluations.
Achievers round is applicable to which programme?
Achievers round is applicable to all programmes based on the first preference.
