Mayank Gupta

History & Profile

Dr. Mayank Gupta is an Assistant Professor at the Goa Institute of Management. He holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He completed his postgraduation and graduation from the University of Delhi, where he was the college topper. He is also UGC - NET & JRF qualified.
His research work, broadly in the area of Financial and Non-Financial Reporting, focuses on earnings quality, ESG disclosures, bank performance, and credit risk in the banking industry. He has published research articles in reputed international journals, including Meditari Accountancy Research, Journal of Applied Accounting and Research, and Journal of Economics and Business. Dr. Gupta has presented his research work in several prestigious international and national conferences, including the World Finance Conference, the Annual British Accounting and Finance Association conference, the India Finance Conference, etc. He has won the second-best paper award at the Benchmark Conclave organized by S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. Dr. Gupta also serves as an active reviewer for several ABDC-indexed journals.
His teaching interests include Banking, Credit Risk Management, Financial Management, and Financial Reporting & Analysis.
