Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Healthcare Management at the Goa Institute of Management (GIM), India. A health economist, his career bridges rigorous economic analysis and practical public health policy. His doctoral research at IIM Indore examined the equity and efficiency impacts of India's Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana, anchoring a career-long focus on health financing. He holds a PGDHEP from IIPH New Delhi, is a qualified Cost Accountant (ICWAI), and a Fellow of UCL's Centre for Global Health Economics.

Beginning at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he went on to lead research and health-economics roles at Ekjut, Mamta-HIMC, and NCoE-SAM at Lady Hardinge Medical College, directing economic evaluations of maternal, newborn, and child nutrition interventions published in The Lancet, The Lancet Global Health, BMJ Open, and Health Policy and Planning, among others, informing national SAM management guidance with UNICEF.

Since February 2024, he has been in full-time academia, first at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur as Dean Research and Area Chair (Finance), and at GIM since August 2026, continuing applied research on the costing and cost-effectiveness of health and nutrition programming.

• Cost-benefit analysis of livelihood projects (Common Interest Group activities) under the World Bank-supported District Poverty Eradication Programme (DPEP), Chhattisgarh, followed by value-chain analysis and policy dissemination.
