Dr. Soumen Kumar Manna earned his Masters and PhD degree both from IIT Bombay in the field of ‘Applied Statistics and Informatics'. He has 10+ years of academic and industry experiences. Before joining GIM, he taught prestigious institutes like IIT Bombay, Mumbai University, Ramaiah University and VJTI Mumbai. He has also worked with companies like INSOFE, Cytel, Bisleri, etc. His areas of interest are Mathematics, Statistics, Optimization, Design of choice experiments, Machine learning, Data science and Computer programming. He enjoys his spare time with novels, football, and new cuisines. He is an avid traveller. His other interests lie in Cosmology and Space exploration.
