Behavioral Strategy, Competitive Strategy, International Business, Microfoundations in Strategic Management, and Corporate Governance.
I am an Assistant Professor in the area of Strategy & Consulting at the Goa Institute of Management. I hold a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. My research focuses on the intersection of behavioral strategy, competitive dynamics, and microfoundations, with a particular focus on how underperforming firms and firms exceeding their aspirations make competitive decisions. Specifically, my dissertation examines how CEO psychological attributes and performance feedback, through the lens of awareness, motivation, and capabilities (AMC), shape competitive actions and firm outcomes. More recently, my work has expanded to New Internalization Theory, exploring how firm- and decision-maker-level characteristics help economize on bounded rationality and bounded reliability in internationalization decisions.
My research has gained recognition through a strong and growing publication pipeline in leading journals in strategic management and international business. Beyond journal publications, my research has been recognized at several prestigious international conferences. I have presented my work at the Academy of International Business (AIB) Annual Meetings in Louisville, Kentucky, USA (2025) and Manchester, United Kingdom (2026), with acceptances for the Strategic Management Society (SMS) Annual Conferences (2023, 2025), the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting (2025). I have also presented my work at leading national conferences, including the India Strategy Conference (ISC) (2023, 2024, 2025) and the International Conference on Management of MSMEs (ICMM 2025). My research has been supported through several competitive awards, including the AIB Doctoral Student Award (2025), the Women of the Academy of International Business (WAIB) Scholarship (2026), and the Euro-Asia Management Studies Association (EAMSA) Stipend (2025) for the EAMSA Annual Conference at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. I also actively contribute to the scholarly community by serving as a reviewer for the Academy of International Business (AIB), the Academy of Management (AOM), and the India Strategy Conference (ISC). In my current role, I teach Strategic Management and Business Simulation courses while continuing to develop a research agenda centered on behavioral strategy, competitive dynamics, and international business.
